Each quarter, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana supports Clark and Floyd County nonprofit organizations through a one-time Community Assist Grant. These grants range from $1,000 – $5,000 and are intended to support a program or activity that will positively impact the lives of people living in our region.

This quarter, CFSI awarded four grants totaling $20,000. These grants will focus on projects surrounding trades training, children’s literacy, life skill development, and drug/alcohol recovery. This quarter’s recipients included Southern Indiana Works, Community Action of Southern Indiana, Choices Life Resource Center, and Center for Lay Ministries or Bliss House.

Southern Indiana Works plans to use this $5,000 funding to address a critical need of skills for the growing tech and tech-dependent economy, including participation in Code Louisville, as well as a computer kiosk at the New Albany – Floyd County Central Library.
