On October 1st, Southern Indiana Works held a successful blood drive and Resource Fair at the WorkOne Career Center in New Albany. In collaboration with the American Red Cross, this community-focused event aimed to support both local blood banks and job seekers alike.
The blood drive brought in volunteers from around the area, contributing much-needed donations to help the Red Cross maintain a steady supply of life-saving blood. Meanwhile, the Resource Fair, hosted alongside the drive, featured various local employers, educational institutions, and support services. Attendees were able to explore job opportunities, gain career guidance, and connect with local organizations offering resources for personal and professional development.
This event reflects Southern Indiana Works’ commitment to fostering community engagement while addressing critical needs. By combining their career services with a humanitarian effort, they created an impactful experience for everyone involved.
