On March 14th, we held our First Annual State of The Workforce Summit. We had amazing speakers who touched on important topics that are impacting our workforce.
Southern Indiana Works’ President and CEO, Tony Waterson, was able to share with everyone our mission, vision, and priorities as an organization.
Our Keynote Speaker, Cara Siletto works with organizations of all sizes to reduce unnecessary employee turnover by bridging generational gaps and making managers more effective in their roles. During The Summit she delivered a great speech on that topic that was informative and motivational.
Mark Hublar gave us another motivating speech about his story as an individual with Down syndrome in the workforce. He is now an advocate for people with disabilities and he expressed how important it is to give those individuals a chance.
Our last speaker of the day, Sarah Ehresman the Director of Labor Market Intelligence at KentuckianaWorks, gave us an in depth look at the current local labor market conditions. Her work helps stakeholders across the workforce ecosystem access data-driven insights on the local economy.
We thank everyone who attended and we hope to see you again next year!
